A great cup made by KPM in about 1832. It is hand painted with a superb scenic view of the Friedrichswerdersche Kirche in Berlin which was just completed in 1831. The scene is of nice quality and surrounded with a frame of gilding. The foot is gilded as well and there is gold trim to the top and bottom of the main body, some nice gold design to the handle and gold wash to the inside of the cup.The cup is 3.75 inches tall (4.875 including the handle) and 3.125 inches in diameter. The cup is in great condition with some minor wear to the gilding and there is a small dimple to the top inside from the firing process. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter mark, the red orb mark as well as " Die Werdersche Kirche in Berlin " in black script as shown. If you like my goodies have a look at my other auctions for a lot more top maker pieces like Vienna , Sevres and so on.
