A porcelain plaque made by Hutschenreuther of Germany in the end of the 19th century. It is hand painted with a very detailed portrait of a semi nude lady which is signed on the right side by the famous Wagner. He is considered one of the best painters of these types of plaques and painted blanks from all over the place. Hutschenreuther and KPM Berlin being the best.
It comes in a frame that looks pretty nice but for some reason the gold oval is not centered in the puce background. The plaque itself is in great condition - that bit of black color in her hair was a smudge I cleaned off. Didn't see it until I was done taking pictures. It is 5.25 inches tall and 4 inches wide so a very nice size for thissor5t of thing. Marked with the impressed shield with a crown above it though it is hard to make out.
Also an impressed number 12. The frame measures 10.5 inches tall and 8.5 inches wide. It is in good condition but not perfect. Art Nouveau Jugendstil Bild German.
