Antique Hutschenreuther Porcelain Semi Nude Lady Portrait Plaque Porzellan 19thC
A superb porcelain plaque made in Germany in the 19th century. It is hand painted with a nicely detailed portrait of a beautiful lady with long flowing hair and her breast slightly exposed. A quality piece and not one of these modern or Italian copies! The portrait is all hand painted - no transfer outlines or such of the later lower quality pieces. The plaque comes in a gesso and wood antique frame that is stunning and in decent shape - it displays beautifully but has some damage - the top part is reglued and a small piece is missing on the left side plus the usual wear.
The plaque itself is in perfect condition! It is 3.25 inches tall and 2.625 inches wide. Marked with the impressed number 15 only as well as the circular Hutschenreuther mark as shown. It is signed by the famous artist Wagner who is the one painter everyone is looking for to have painted their piece. The frame measures 7.75 inches tall and 6.25 inches wide.
