Antique KPM Arcadia Dinnerware Royal Berlin-93 pcs Dishes Porcelain China Set

What a rare and beautiful set! This is the largest KPM Porcelain dinner service I have seen offered in the Arcadia pattern.

It consists of 101 pieces all matching in the rare dusty pink color! Most pieces have the additionally rare Made in Germany US Zone Mark on the bottoms. This beautiful Arcadia Arkadia dinnerware set consists of the following pieces with their approximate sizes. 2 Medium Serving Platters 11 1/2 inches. 1 Sauce or Gravy Bowl with attached under tray.

9 dinner plates measuring 10 1/4 inches. 12 lunch plates 9 inches. 12 dessert/salad plates 8 inches. 11 bread plates 6 1/8 inches. 9 dessert bowls 5 3/4 diamete.

7 custard or Ranekin bos 3 1/8 diameter. 9 saucers for tea/ coffee cups. 7 footed tea/ coffee cups. 12 saucers for cream soup bowls. For a total of 101 pieces! All pieces are in surprisingly good condition with no cracks and no chips. They do not look like they have ever been used however they look like they need to be cleaned as there are some specs, stains and dirt after decades of storage.

The Arcadia Arkadia pattern was designed in 1938 to celebrate the 175th anniversary of KPM (Knigliche Porzellan-Manufaktur) also known as Royal Berlin. The famous Bauhaus designer Trude Petri designed the basic pattern form. The cameo medallions featured throughout the multi motif pattern were designed in collaboration with Siegmund Schutz. The pattern exists in a number of variations. This version has a wide pink rose band on white porcelain with most pieces featuring a fine, raised, cameo medallion.
