ANTIQUE KPM GERMAN HAND PAINTED PORCELAIN PLAQUE QUEEN LOUISE OF PRUSSIA. This fine late 19th - Early 20th Century KPM German hand painted porcelain plaque is a full length portrait of Queen Louise of Prussia after the original portrait by Gustav Richter (German, 1823 - 1884). Wearing an ermine fur, she is descending an ornate staircase.
It is exquisitely painted with exceptional detail and is housed in a simple gilt frame, which may be original to the plaque. Porcelain plaque measures 3.75" x 5.5". Frame exterior measures 6.25" x 8". The plaque is in excellent condition with no damage, losses or restoration. The frame has a chip to the lower right corner and small pieces of the cardboard backing are absent.
