ART NOUVEAU MAIDEN PAINTING PORCELAIN PLAQUE PORTRAIT ANTIQUE Hutschenreuth KPM
DESCRIPTION ORIGINAL VERY FINELY HAND PAINTED ANTIQUE PLAQUE Possibly depicting Daphne Art Nouveau style maiden Very attractive young female with foliate wreath and shear silk clothing No artists signature i can see. The rear of the plaque has some old brown glue over which is a layer of clear glue which i guess is more recent and shows its been glue mounted at least twice. No visible markings to the rear of the plaque other than an impressed 12 which is a recognised impressed mark for the Hutschenreuth porcelain factory. There may be some others under the glue but its difficult to remove so will be left as is. See images for further details.
She was found unmounted as shown in a drawer of an old estate clearance in Oxfordshire, The house contained many old and antique items. Condition No cracks or chips, the colours are still bright and vibrant. Just one tiny scratch on her fringe area just over the right eyebrow, very hard to spot.
