A great set of 7 plates made by KPM in the mid 19th century around 1860. Each plate has a a nice relief flower patterns all around the edge of the well and four panels along the rim with the other panels having hand painted blue floral arrangements and a nice large blue flower design in the center of the plate. The edge of the well and rim have a fancy gold design to them more reminiscent of another top German maker in the 18th century. A stunning look that is quite unusual to find in a set from this period. They wood look lovely on display in a kitchen or dining room!
The plates are in superb condition with some minor wear to the gilding only - as nice as you could find! Each piece is about 1.375 inches tall with a diameter of 9.75 inches.
They are marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter and blue penny mark, the red orb mark to show they were painted by KPM, a painter's mark as well as the usual impressed marks of this period as shown.
