Up for your consideration is a very large 19th C. German painting on porcelain of a mother and child, mounted in its original giltwood frame, c. The porcelain plaque measures 11.5" x 7.5", and the outer dimensions of the frame are 21" x 17". The piece has some marks on the back, but I do not know the maker.

The plaque is in excellent condition, free of chips, cracks, or crazing. There is a small area in the lower left corner where the brown background has faded or been rubbed (see last photo). The wood and gesso frame is in very good condition. The corners have been repaired/re-gilded in the seams from normal separation of the wood. There was one area to the extreme edge where the beading came loose (about 5 beads), this has since been repaired. Otherwise, the frame shows light, age-appropriate wear. The gold leaf is original and bright throughout. It is a truly special frame for a special piece. This quote is for the Continental U. These charges are the buyers responsibility.
