Rare Porcelain statue designed by Paul Schley in 1912, in the series of figures at lake Wannsee Berlin. Schley sketched several scenes while observing bathers at the Wannsee in Berlin in the summer of 1912, only a couple of years before the outbreak of WW1. Under the manufacture of Koenigliche Porzellan Manufaktur (KPM) these were then modeled into life like high quality porcelain statues, forming a series of bathers, each one a little masterpiece. Marked on base with blue scepter mark, stamped with model number 10152, and letter'O' (year letter for 1914 manufacture) and M 15 in oval, Royal Porcelain Manufactory KPM Berlin. One Index finger of the boy was professionally restored a couple of decades ago, tiny restoration mark still visible on the finger but not noticeable in the overall piece. Apart from that the impressive statue is in mint condition, with no chips, cracks or hairline fractures. Measures 20 cm tall, 20 cm wide, 10.5 cm depth.
