Exceptionally Large Antique KPM B e rlin porcelain plaque set in original period antique carved giltwood Gesso over wood frame Artist signed , marked, 100% handpainted, excellent condition Signed : Langhamer. Offered this very large and rare top quality Painting on Porcelain KPM plaque. The subject is from Shakepeare's play Othello.

Academic style painting done with amazing detail by a great artist and is signed at the lower right corner. The plaque is fully marked on the back with impressed KPM and scepter and numbers inceased into the porcelain - see photos for more details. The plaque is in absolutely perfect mint condition, no chips cracks or scratches; Please note that any white specs on the porcelain are dust or camera reflections The giltwood carved wood frame is original to the piece and has all original gilding which is all intact and in absolutely great condition with very minor loss to the gilding that is common for these old gesso over wood frames; This beautiful frame has relief designs throughout with elaborate corner designs The back is protected with a wooden board, underneath which we found has an old antique newspaper, The Times , dating back from 1876. Measures framed 33.5" by 29" and plaque is 23" by 18.5". Any reasonable offers are welcome.
