The piece is hand painted with a superb large scene in monochrome puce in the center with a nice design around it including oak leaves (I think) with small flowers scattered throughout the rest of the plate. Two small butterflies to hide firing flaws I assume. Gold trim to the rim which has a nice shape to it. The scenes is top quality and I guess is a harbor type scene with two people by a lake or river, a nice castle in the center and the usual landscape surroundings.
The plate is in super condition with some wear to the gold trim on the edge. It is 2 inches tall and just under 14 inches in diameter and is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter as well as three lines on the foot ring and a number 61. German Germany platter serving dish Servierschale Platte Szene Szenenteller.
