A plate made by KPM in 1914 for the personal use of Kaiser Wilhelm and his first wife Augusta. The rim has a basket weave design to it called the Osier relief with three single flowers hand painted on it and a gold trim to the edge. The center of the plate has a hand painted floral arrangement in it as well as three butterflies. The main flower is a pansy which I quite like and we have a few around the gardens. A very elegant plate with a nice provenance that still needs to be figured out. The plate is in perfect condition. It is 1 inch tall and has a diameter of 8.25 inches. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter, the red orb as well as some artist marks and impressed marks common to these pieces. And off course the WA under a crown and the year 1914 under that. German Royal Germany 20thC 20th century Kaiser Kaiserin Monogramm.
