A cup and saucer made by KPM in the early 19th century during the Biedermeier period. It was made before they used their red orb mark thus you only have the blue scepter and impressed marks / painter's marks most of the time. The style of the cup is really very sleek and nice and both pieces are hand painted with a ring of violets all around as well as some gold trim. The inside of the cup is entirely gilded as well!
Both pieces are in great condition with just some minor wear to the gilding mostly to the very bottom of the inside of the cup. The cup is just under 3.5 inches tall including the handle and just over 3 inches in diameter.
The saucer is 1 inch tall and 5.5 inches in diameter. Both pieces are marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter mark as well as a painter's mark and the saucer also has some impressed numbers underneath.
