Antique 19thC KPM Berlin Porcelain Handle with Cane Porzellan Stock Griff German

A superb cane handle made by KPM which is attached to a cane. It is impossible to tell the age of it due to it not being painted. They made these in the 18th century and also 19th and probably even early on in the 20th century.

I have no come across a blanc de chine version before but when they are painted it is usually of a veiled ladys head with the body making the shape of the handle. The body has a relief design all over that makes this a very elegant cane handle! The porcelain is attached to a wooden cane with a brass sleeve fitting and the bottom end of the cane is some other type of material - feels a bit like horn from a cow but could be plastic.

No idea if the cane is original or a later addition. Impossible to tell but it looks great together and is in great shape with a crack in the horn part at the bottom as shown. The porcelain is in perfect condition.

The porcelain part is 3 inches tall, 4.5 inches long and 1.25 inches wide. The entire cane is about 34 inches long. No mark can be seen but the porcelain handle was made by KPM. Stockgriff German Germany 19thC 20thC umbrella parasol.
