Antique 20tC KPM Berlin Porcelain Plate Royalty Monogram Porzellan Teller Kaiser
A dinner plate made by KPM in 1908 for the personal use of Kaiser Wilhelm II and his first wife Augusta Victoria of Schleswig-Holstein. A very nice piece with the rim having a basket weave design to it called the Osier relief with three single flowers hand painted on it and a gold trim to the edge.
The center of the plate has a hand painted floral arrangement in it with the main flower being a nice pink and yellow color with two purple flowers and some other smaller ones underneath as well as three butterflies around the arrangement. A very elegant plate with a nice provenance. The plate is in superb condition with some very minor use marks. The plate is 1.25 inch tall and has a diameter of 9.625 inches.
It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter, the red orb as well as some artist marks and impressed marks common to these pieces. And off course the WA under a crown monogram and the year 1908 under that.
