Antique Art Nouveau KPM Berlin Porcelain Geisha Figurine Porzellan Figur Figure
A superb figurine made by KPM in 1913. It is of a Geisha - a Japanese woman trained to entertain men with conversation, singing, dancing and so on. She is superbly modeled and hand painted in the Art Nouveau or Jugendstil style of the period. The figurine is in great condition with the tip of her staff broken off. The figure is about 3.75 inches tall, 1.625 inches wide and 1.25 inches deep. The figure is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter, the red orb, the 150 year anniversary mark, as well as impressed and painted numbers, etc. As shown in the pictures. 20thC 20th century German Germany.
