Antique C19th HAND PAINTED Porcelain Plaque Virgin Mary Dresden KPM Style c1880
You are viewing a beautiful hand-painted porcelain plaque of the Virgin Mary or similar Christian figurehead. It is very much in the style of Limoges or K. And it is my belief that this was fired in Europe at the end of the nineteenth century.
It measures about 5 1/3 inches tall or 13 centimeters and 3 1/4 inches wide or 8 centimeters. There is some writing on the back - hard to make out - could be the word "Dresden" in painted script as well as what looks like the letter'g' inscribed into the porcelain.
