Antique German Porcelain Plaque Hutschenreuther KPM

HAND PAINTED GERMAN PORCELAIN PLAQUE. The subject is Jeunesse Bellet (Bellet Youth) and depicts a beautiful young maiden wearing a large hat held in place by a scarf. The plaque measures approximately 7¼ " x 5". The painting is wonderfully executed. The plaque is in an ornate gilt Italian wood and gesso frame.

The frame measures 15½" x 13½" and includes a newer dark burgundy velvet insert that was custom-designed to hold this plaque. The plaque is impressed on the reverse with the number 311 and with K. The plaque is unsigned, but the high quality of the portrait, including the beautifully depicted features and long-flowing hair are typical of Wagner paintings. I guarantee this plaque to be 100% authentic, over 100 years old, and completely hand painted (not a transfer)!

Plaque: 7½ " x 5 " (19,05 cm x 12,7 cm). This wonderfully decorated portrait plaque is in EXCELLENT condition with a beautiful original glaze. There are NO apparent chips, cracks, scratches or repairs.

I detected no condition issues. Any white spots or lines in the photographs are from the flash and are not damage.

The frame has no major losses, but does have wear on the high points and small hairline cracks in the gesso consistent with its age. If you have any questions about this item, please contact me.
