Antique Jugendstil KPM Berlin Porcelain Duck Bird Scene Plate Porzellan Teller
A really nice Art Nouveau / Jugendstil period plate made by KPM in the early 20th century. The plate is hand painted with a bird scene including two male and one female mallard duck in a nice landscape surrounding. The rim is decorated in the style of the period with raised gold scrolls as well as some leaves and flowers and a slightly greenish ground color between the scrolls which is hard to see in the pictures. A truly superb plate and it is in superb condition.
The piece is just under 1 inch tall and 9.875 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter as well as the red orb mark as well as a painter's mark, some numbers and the usual impressed marks of the period as shown. 20thC Vogel Szene Vogelszene German Germany scenic Ente Enten.
