A superb cake plate / pedestal dish / tazza made by KPM in the early 20th century. It is from the famous Neuzierat line which is easiest to identify by the raised gold trim along the edges. The top plate is hand painted with a great blue cornflowers floral scene in the center in the Weichmalerei colors of the Art Nouveau period which happens to be my wife's favorite time for KPM. The rim itself is painted with gold on a raised design that is quite nice but the combination looks stunning! The base / foot has more raised gold to it as well as six more floral scenes with the foot edge having another nice gold trim to it and three feet sticking out.
The dish is in perfect condition. These are quite hard to find especially in perfect condition! The plate part has a diameter of 8.75 inches and it is 5.125 inches tall. The plate is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter, the red orb mark, painter's and gilder's marks as well the usual impressed marks of the period as shown.
