Antique KPM Berlin Porcelain Neuzierat Demitasse Cup & Saucer Porzellan Tasse

A rare demitasse cup and saucer made by KPM in the early 20th century. The design is called Neuzierat and this is the version with the spaces between the raised design and the rims left white and not fully gilded. I have never seen a smaller version of the tea cup - all the demitasse pieces I have come across were coffee cup shaped. So it is definitely an uncommon piece! Looks great with both pieces hand painted superbly with two larger floral arrangements and two small flowers and has a superb raised gold trim in between. Nice handle shape with a bit of gilding and a fancy gold trim to the inside edge of the cup. The set is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter mark as well as the red orb, a gilder's and painter's mark and the usual impressed marks as shown.

The cup & saucer are in perfect condition. The saucer is 1 inch tall and 4.375 inches in diameter. The cup is 1.625 inches tall with a diameter of 2.5 inches.
