Antique KPM Berlin Porcelain Plate Kaiser Royalty Mark Porzellan Teller King
A rare plate made by KPM in 1893. It has the royal cypher of Kaiser Wilhelm the 2nd on the back which makes this a truly fun piece with lots of history attached to it. It is hand painted with a superb center decoration of a basket that has fallen over and has flowers spilling out of it on some grass with some larger roses rising up from it. Two butterflies around this and the rim has a ring of morning glories and a nice gold trim on a raised design on it. The plate is in superb condition with just a ground down area on the foot ring where they tried to even out a chip.
Should have just left it be in my opinion but it doesn't take away from the piece either way. The plate is just over 1.125 inches tall and 9.625 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter mark as well as the red orb and the royal cypher underneath plus the usual impressed and painters marks.
