A really nice and rare plate made by KPM in the early 20th century either for Kaiser Wilhelm II and his first wife Augusta or as a gift by them for someone important. The plate has a nice shape to it with the indents along the edge, gold trim to the rim and around the well edge and a superb and very fancy large monogram WA under the Kaiser crown in the center. The crown is superbly done in polychrome with lots of gold details and the letters are in gold with tooled details. A very elegant plate with a nice provenance.
The plate is in superb condition with some minor use marks. It is 1.25 inches tall and has a diameter of 9.875 inches. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter, the red orb as well as the usual impressed marks common to these pieces. Looks like there is also a museum ID under it and some other later applied red numbers.German Royal Germany 20thC 20th century Royal King Kaiserin Queen.
