Antique Rare 20thC KPM Berlin Porcelain Bird Scene Saucer Porzellan Untertasse
A superb saucer made by KPM in the early 20th century. Unusual for this period as you would see this style more often from the 18th century. The saucer is hand painted with a bird scene in the center including a a large Tom turkey, a bird sitting on a fence and two more on a branch in the tree. The piece was painted by one of the best painter's of this period! Simple gold trim to the edge. One does not come across saucers with this sort of design of this quality often from this period!
Sadly no cup but there is always hope : The saucer is in perfect condition. It is 1.125 inches tall and 5.25 inches in diameter and marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter, the red orb mark as well as the usual black numbers, artists marks and impressed marks as shown.
