Historical rare original hand painted porcelain cabinet BPM Portrait Plate, portrait of Miss Croker, after the famous original portrait of Miss Croker, painted by Sir Thomas Lawrence. Midnight blue and gold encircled mark of Berlin Porcelain Manufacture, BPM, with Miss Croker and Du 1156.
The number 698 at lower edge rim. Ornate 24k gold raised relief, gold over blue. Miss Croker, Roseamond Hester Elizabeth Pennell. Miss Croker was the wife of Sir George Barrow, 2nd Bt.
Daughter of William Pennell, adopted daughter of Hon. Married in 1832 to Sir George Barrow. Measurement: 28.0 CM diameter. Condition is excellent in my opinion.No cracks, hairlines, restoration, chips, flakes, nips, scrapes, scratches, or stains. 24k gold raised relief border shows no paint loss.
