C293 Antique KPM Royal Berlin Cabinet Plate, Potsdamer

This porcelain plate was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufactory or KPM, in 1919. The date code indicates this year. The plate is a recreation of the Potsdamer Stadtschloss (Potsdam Palace) service.

It measures 8 3/4 in diameter. The plate is made of fine, white hard paste porcelain.

The border has an intricate reticulated pattern that is finely gilded. The center of the plate has a spray of expertly hand painted flowers in vibrant colors. Just inside the border are garlands of colorful flowers. The elegance and quality of this plate is breathtaking.
