Carl Franz Krister produced KPM starting in 1831. Became popular due to quality craftmanship with KPM factories.

Krister Porcelain won medals at the 1857 and the 1867 Paris exhibitions. Krister died in 1869, his company one of the largest led by a single person at that time.
