Nice Antique 18thC KPM Berlin Porcelain Trembleuse Cup & Saucer Porzellan Tasse

A cup and saucer made by KPM around 1780. KPM used no painters mark like the red orb yet during this period thus you only have the blue scepter and impressed marks most of the time.

The cup is hand painted with a large latter L made up of small flowers and both pieces have lots of small flowers and floral arrangements on them as well as a gold trim. Someone wrote to me that he thinks the floral script L with the flowers above it are the floral version of Queen Louise of Prussia's cypher which a script L with the crown of Prussia above it though it looks more like a regular L with flowers above it to me but what do I know :The cup also has a green and pink band with a gold design around it ending with the handle meant to look like a bow all around the cup : The best part is that the saucer is of the trembleuse kind with the inside well having a raised rim that is reticulated and highlighted with gilding. Not something you find too often especially by KPM. The set is in superb condition with just the tiniest of wear to the gilding. The inside top rim of the cup is a bit rough but glazed so it could have had a lid at one point though that is not a sure thing.

The cup is 2.625 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.25 inches tall and 5.25 inches in diameter. Both are marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter with the saucer also having a puce 42.
