Rare KPM Royal Berlin Jeweled Cabinet Plate

CONDITION: Excellent, first quality, without defects of any kind. This porcelain plate was produced in Germany by KPM Royal Berlin in 1925. The date cipher indicates this year. The plate measures 8 1/4 inches in diameter.

The fine porcelain is elaborately decorated. Brightly colored translucent enamels are used to create baskets of fruits and flowers.

The ornamentation is very complicated, using at least seven different colors of enamel. In addition, there is elaborate raised gilding. It is almost like a piece of jewelry. This is an extraordinary example of jeweled porcelain rarely seen.
