Superb Original Period KPM Berlin Porcelain Ceres Service Plate Porzellan Teller

A superb reticulated plate made by KPM during WWI. The plate is from the famous Ceres Service designed by Theodor Schmuz Baudiss for the 150 year anniversary of the factory. It is the most famous of the Jugendstil services I believe and the name comes from the Roman goddess of fertility and agriculture.

This plate here is the reticulated version which is really nice! The plate is in perfect condition which helps : It is 0.875 inches tall and 8.5 inches in diameter. The set was first designed in 1912 for the anniversary of the manufactury so this is a nice an early version!

It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter mark, the red orb, the green TSB mark, the black iron cross as well as the usual painter's and impressed marks. I own a second plate if anyone is interested in a pair.
